Many free templates are available for the popular WordPress page builder Elementor. I will show you an overview of all the important resources in this post. With the help of this article, you can easily download free or premium Elementor templates.

Free Elementor Templates and Blocks

A great feature of Elementor is that whole pages or individual sections as templates, called templates can be saved. These templates can be inserted elsewhere with just a few clicks or exported the elementor templates as json files.

Not only can you create your own templates, but you can also use a large number of free templates and blocks. Now I’m going to show you an overview of the best free resources for Elementor templates and blocks.

Note: Many free templates require the Pro version of Elementor, as they are partly based on Elementor Pro Widgets.

1. ThemeRally – Premium Elementor Templates

ThemeRally has become very popular in recent times. It has some awesome and stylish free Elementor templates which are Freemium qualities, which means they are free and their qualities are premium.

The first source for free templates is integrated directly into Elementor. The Elementor template library is now really extensive and new templates are constantly being added.

The majority of the templates are also based on widgets from the Pro version. So you need Elementor Pro to be able to use all templates.

A new template kit is released every month exclusively for Elementor Pro users. This is a bundle of several templates including header, footer, and popups.

4. WP Astra Starter Sites

I personally like to use the templates from Astra. Some of them can be used completely free of charge, but only on the condition that the Astra theme is installed (the free version of the Astra theme is sufficient).

However, I use the Mini Agency Bundle, which includes the Astra Pro Theme and all templates. The special feature of buying a bundle is that you can then use all templates regardless of the theme used. For example, I also use the Astra Starter Sites for projects where the Hello Theme or GeneratePress are used.

Layouts for Elementor is another great source of free templates. Although this template library is not quite as extensive, it can be used completely free of charge.

To use it, you simply have to install the associated plugin in order to be able to easily insert the templates within Elementor.

At Envato Elements you will find hundreds of beautifully designed and free templates for Elementor. In addition, you get a large number of blocks and pop-up templates here.

I think it’s really awesome that you can integrate and use the template library directly in Elementor via a WordPress plugin.

To be able to use the templates, you need a free Envato Elements account. With this account, you also have access to many other free resources about WordPress. I use Envato Elements myself and am very satisfied with it.

This is how you can use the free Elementor templates from Envato:

  1. Create a free account with Envato

Elementor Templates – Less is More!

For the first time, I think it’s really great that there are so many free resources available for Elementor. On the one hand, external templates can accelerate your workflow.

On the other hand, the opposite can also be the case. Especially if you use too many different templates in one project. Then the effort is higher to adapt all templates to a uniform design (colors, typography, etc.).

In addition, the time required to research a suitable template can be relatively high. Personally, I use the free template library from Envato Elements and the starter sites, but here I mostly use blocks and less complete template kits. I then adapt these individual sections to my respective design.

Do you also use external templates for Elementor or do you know other free resources to download free Elementor templates? If so, please leave a comment!
