WordCamp Dhaka 2025: A Day Full of Learning, Smiles, and the Spirit of Community

Summarize with AI

WordCamp has always been one of the most vibrant, positive, and inspiring environments I’ve ever experienced.
It never feels like a formal conference – it feels like coming home to my own community. No matter where I am in the world, being at a WordCamp reminds me that I belong here.

The Day That Truly Felt Like Home

WordCamp Dhaka 2025 was a beautiful reminder of what community truly means. From the smiling faces at registration to the laughter around the sponsor booths, every corner of the venue radiated energy and warmth.

The organizers gave their absolute best – and yes, there’s always room for improvement, but that’s what keeps events like this evolving. And let’s be honest – the kacchi biryani lunch might just be the unofficial highlight of the day! 😄

As Hasin Hayder bhai jokingly said:
“It felt like Eid-ul-Adha – people walking around with bags, collecting goodies like qurbani meat!”

That line perfectly captured the joyful chaos and the heartwarming energy of WordCamp.

🎤 My Session: Faceless or Fearless – How WP Professionals Can Win with Both Video Paths

Faceless or Fearless - How WordPress Professionals Can Win with Both Video Paths. My session took place at 11:30 AM, and the topic was something very close to my heart – “Faceless or Fearless – How WordPress Professionals Can Win with Both Video Paths.”

I discussed how WordPress professionals can grow using two equally powerful approaches:

  • 🎭 The Faceless Path: Building authority through storytelling, automation, and consistency – without ever showing your face.
  • 💪 The Fearless Path: Developing the courage to appear on camera, tell your story, and turn authenticity into your biggest brand strength.

The session turned into a engaging one – people asked questions, shared experiences, and discussed the future of creator-driven WordPress brands. The best feedback I received was, “I never thought about video this way before.”

A Heartfelt Thanks to Matt Mullenweg

This year began with a special moment – a short yet deeply meaningful video message from Matt Mullenweg, the co-founder of WordPress.
He acknowledged the growth of the Bangladesh WordPress community and encouraged new contributors to keep pushing boundaries.

It wasn’t just a message. It was a spark – reminding us that even from thousands of miles away, someone sees our work, believes in us, and supports what we’re building together.

Matt Mullenweg

🙏 Thank you, Matt, for your encouragement and kind words. If you ever come across this post, please know that the WordPress community of Bangladesh would be honored to welcome you here someday. Your continued support means the world to us, and your presence would be a dream come true for thousands of contributors and enthusiasts across Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rangpur, and beyond. 🇧🇩

We hope you’ll continue to support every new WordCamp and Meetup Chapter emerging across our country.

🧠 Sessions Worth Remembering

Every speaker I managed to listen to today brought something special – insight, clarity, and inspiration. From Sumit Saha bhai’s deep technical wisdom to Mohammad Emran Hasan bhai’s precision and Nizam Uddin bhai’s strategic storytelling – each session added depth to our learning.

And of course, Hasin bhai’s talk was both humorous and thought-provoking, as always. If you missed these sessions, don’t worry – catch the recordings once they’re available!

Sponsors, Swags & The True Spirit

Let’s be honest – sponsors are the lifeblood of every WordCamp. They make these events possible.

But here’s something I deeply believe:
WordCamp is not SwagCamp!

Yes, swags are fun – but the real value lies in learning, connecting, and collaborating.
As someone who’s read the WordCamp Code of Conduct countless times, I can say with confidence –
Participation First, Swag Later.

Gifts make memories, but meaningful participation builds communities.

🤝 The Power of Networking

The networking vibe today was incredible – in the best sense of the word! Familiar faces, new connections, shared laughs, and valuable conversations – this is what makes our community so special.

As a speaker, I felt truly respected and appreciated by the organizing team – thank you for that. 🙏
Yes, there were some delays with registration (especially even after 11 AM people had to wait to enter the venue), but that’s something we can surely improve next time.

🇧🇩 The Future of WordPress in Bangladesh

From WordCamp Dhaka to WordCamp Sylhet, one thing is clear – Bangladesh has one of the most passionate WordPress communities in the world. With so many WordPress-based companies and professionals here, I truly believe we can host 3-4 WordCamps a year with ease.

And yes, one day I dream of seeing WordCamp Asia hosted in Bangladesh. That dream is alive – and every WordCamp brings us one step closer.

Closing Thoughts

WordCamp Dhaka 2025  was filled with learning, laughter, and connection. WordCamp isn’t just an event – it’s a celebration of people, purpose, and progress.

WordCamp is not just about code – it’s about connection. Those who attended will carry this energy forward.
And those who missed it – get ready, because next year will be even bigger, brighter, and better!

See you at the next WordCamp – maybe even in your city. 🇧🇩💙
